Independent Business Audit

This is a structured review of your existing processes and systems, through a combination of interviews with process managers and, where appropriate, cross-functional workshops.

Break down departmental silos

Our focus is on the key business processes and the applications that support them, including off line systems and people skills/resource levels.

These discussions highlight any potential issues with inter-departmental communications, access to data, system integration and reporting that can occur across departmental "silos". They identify weaknesses in current processes that result in the use of work arounds and the use of off-line systems such as spreadsheets.

Identify process improvement priorities

We provide you with an "AS IS" Report which will provide a clear understanding of the status of the current processes and systems within the company and opportunities for improvement, using simple, visual RAG (Red, Amber, Green) status reports for each process.

This then enables you to identify your process improvement priorities, targeting your efforts on the most critical areas that will have the most and quickest benefits for your business. It will also help you identify where additional systems functionality may help you achieve process improvements and also consider how to engage your team in any necessary changes required.

On-going mentoring and support

If required, we can provide further support in implementing these  to process, systems and people developments - contact us if you would like to discuss how we can help your organisation.

Business Excellence Assessment

Benchmark against World Class Performance

Benchmarking against Business Excellence can be a very useful means of driving business improvement. We have undertaken benchmarking exercises with many companies as part of industry sector improvement programmes.

Using a modified version of the EFQM Business Excellence programme, we can help you prioritise the areas to focus your improvement activities on, by comparing your business against those considered to be "world class" performers.

A workshop-driven approach

The process consists of running a workshop with a cross-section of your employees and covers all aspects of your business - from leadership and strategy, through to business results - both financial and customer/employee satisfaction.

A plan of action

Our role is to guide you through the process and help you develop and implement a plan of action based on the results.

Industry Sector Improvement Programmes

Share the cost of Business Improvement

We can provide the above services as part of an industry sector improvement programme, often in conjunction with a sector's trade association.

The benefit of this is that it enables companies to share the cost of develop improvement initiatives that can be beneficial to an industry sector as a whole - and enable the trade association to identify and develop on-going support services for its members.

A proven track record

We have successfully undertaken programmes such as this with the following UK sectors:
