Allman Horrocks Consulting undertook this study
of the Welsh manufacturing sector on behalf
of the Welsh Development Agency.
Over 750 manufacturing companies in Wales were
invited to take part in a benchmarking programme
to analyse the critical factors affecting businesses
within the various manufacturing sectors.
Approximately 250 companies participated in
the programme over 3 years. Those companies
taking part each received individual reports
with recommendations for implementing best practice
techniques and signposting the support available
in these areas through the Welsh Development
Agency.
The WDA itself was able to use the results of
the survey to improve and develop the support
programmes it offered to manufacturing companies.
